Tiara & Sam | Bountiful Utah Wedding Photographer

I met Tiara in 1997 when she and her family moved in down the street. We were both in the same 1st grade class, and instantly bonded over the fact that we both had arm casts at the time (hers was green, mine was blue). We grew up going to the same schools, going to the same church ward, and playing volleyball together, so when she asked me to be her Bountiful Utah Wedding Photographer I was ecstatic!

Tiara and Sam met at church after Sam moved to Utah from Yap, a small Micronesian island off the coast of Guam. They knew each other for a while before they started dating, but once they did, there was no going back. It was a literal DREAM to be their photographer, from their engagement photos all the way through their ceremony and reception. The moment I saw these two together I knew they were meant to be.

They held their reception the evening before the ceremony in the backyard of Tiara's childhood home. It was beautifully decorated with white and aqua tulle, complete with a large white tent to house the gifts and guest book. One thing that stood out to me was the seamless way Tiara was able to marry (see what I did there) her dream wedding style - princesses and tiaras - with an island theme to incorporate Sam's family. The reception was complete with Tahitian dancing, hula dancing (with some audience participation), and a beautiful first dance between Tiara and Sam. And yes, there were fire dancers as well - who doesn't love that?!

Their wedding the next day was as beautiful as they come, with bright summer sunshine and hardly a cloud in the sky. After a touching ceremony in the Bountiful LDS Temple, the couple exited the building to cheers and hugs from their family and close friends. These two and their families were so much fun to be around, and I know Tiara and Sam will bring each other nothing but happiness. It was truly an honor to be their Bountiful Utah wedding photographer.
