I cannot express how excited I am that I can finally share pictures from this amazing wedding day! To say it was an honor to photograph Rachel and Adam's elopement would be and understatement. When Rachel contacted me to let me know they were eloping to Sand Hollow in just four days, I was immediately all in. There is something so exciting to me about elopements, so I couldn't wait to help capture Rachel and Adam's intimate ceremony.
The morning started with a sunrise first look at the Sand Hollow Resort golf course. Despite the chilly (may I say frigid) temperature, Rachel was looking stunning in her beautiful lace sleeveless dress. Adam saw her for the first time in her dress out on the golf green and it was truly magical! To quote Ammon of A Love Story videography, it looked like a scene right out of Pride & Prejudice!
After the first look, we (Rachel & Adam, their witness, the officiant, the videographer, and I) all piled in two cars to make a long off-roading trek up the mountain. It was a little bit crazy and a little bit treacherous, but we survived! And it was so worth it. We came to an area filled with incredible sandstone formations that looked out over the entirety of St. George. After choosing the perfect spot, a beautiful and simple ceremony was performed where the couple exchanged rings: an extra special gesture because the diamonds in Rachel's ring were given to Adam by his grandfather before he passed away.
I loved getting to know Rachel and Adam, and it was a privilege to be trusted to capture such a special occasion. The morning was as exciting as it was intimate and I loved working with them as their Southern Utah Wedding Photographer.
